Screenplays
I aspire to tell stories of the untold. Much like many people of my background, I never really saw myself represented in the media, in a way that showed nuance and understanding of the cultural background. In my undergraduate studies, I created and wrote stories with this in mind. My stories revolve around breaking stereotypes, and showing that no matter our differences, we will always be able to relate to each other on a human level.
Projects
This is the first script I wrote. I wanted to write a stoner comedy, starring women as most of the ones I would watch only had male characters.
This is a story about a burnt out high schooler, who, in her past, won the Scripps Spelling Bee. Leading her parents to have high expectations, but she is unable to live up to them. Set in her senior year, as she navigates love, family and herself.
